The new ones no longer have one, probably to save money.

I no longer own the Transcend JetFlash 700 32GB and I can't remember if it has an LED or not.

But these USB sticks, for example, do have an LED:
- Corsair Flash Voyager 8GB, 16GB etc.
- Kingston DataTraveler 50 USB 3.0 16GB

I have several of these Transcend sticks with 16, 32 and 64 GB. They do not have an LED.
