Step-by-step solutions:

- 1. base station switched on?
Make sure that the DECT base station (e.g. router with DECT or Gigaset base) is switched on and functional.

- 2. register handset again
Press the registration button on the base station (usually DECT/WPS) for approx. 3-5 seconds.
On the handset: Menu → Settings → Handset → Register → Enter PIN (default: 0000) → Select base.

- 3. HX models require a DECT base
The E560 HX is a "universal handset" that does not have its own base station.
It must be registered to a DECT-capable base station or a router (e.g. Fritz!Box, Swisscom Internet Box).

- 4. check range
Make sure that the handset is within range of the base station (max. approx. 50 m in buildings).

- 5. reset as last option
If nothing helps: Reset handset to factory settings → Menu → Settings → Handset → Reset.
