Question about Gigaset C430a

My handset has been getting hot under the collar regularly lately when it's on the base and yesterday, after a 30-minute call, the handset suddenly switched off because the battery was flat (but the handset was fully charged beforehand).... Has anyone else experienced this? Could this all be due to the batteries and could the problem be solved with new batteries? I bought the device only a year ago, so if it were a defect, I would still have a guarantee... Merci for your answers!

If it becomes red hot, something is wrong. You should definitely report a defect before the thing blows up in your face. Of course, it's possible that only the batteries are defective. You can buy new batteries and see if that solves the problem. The batteries are not covered by the warranty. The usual warranty on batteries is 6 months.
