My printer shows the error message 'Print button missing/defective'. It is not missing, so I assume it is defective. Can I replace it or do I have to buy a new printer? The device is in perfect condition, but dates back to 2016....

I have exactly the same problem with an HP 8620 printer that is about 5 years old. Cleaning the print head did nothing. Will it work again with a new expensive print head? Customer buys new printer. I assume that the print heads (have to) break after approx. 4 - 5 years.

I had the same message when the cyan cartridge was defective. After inserting new cartridges, the error message disappeared again and the printer worked perfectly.
