none of my 2 5 m hdmi cables is recognised as an input signal on this device. however, the description states that lindy supports cables up to 10 m; is it possible that it is just the brand? what is the difference? is this the right cable, does anyone know if it works?.: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/lindy-hdmi-kabel-5m-hdmi-video-kabel-9638351?tagIds=77-532&supplier=406802 thanks for any help

I also use different and longer cables with the splitter. It is important that the splitter is first connected to the power supply and only then connected to the HDMI cables, otherwise it does not work.

According to digitec, I also use (had) this splitter. I have used it with various HDMI cables and never had any problems. I think I have used the linked cable among others, but also some from Hama. I think it's more likely to be a defective splitter if the source and the end device work in a direct connection without a splitter...

That's because HDMI is mega tricky. use shorter cables and start everything over again. 2x5m will probably be too much. Try a 3m cable, and maybe connect the splitter to a short one first, and then to the long one.
