OK, to cut to the chase. As far as workmanship is concerned, apple has always been top. The materials are extremely high quality (metal, fabric, etc.) and not cheap plastic like sony and co. Software must also be developed, don't forget It just fits into the apple eco system but that is difficult to see/accept as an "outsider". But all in all, it justifies the price!
