For me, a toner cartridge lasts several years.
It depends on the subject.
A bank form may need 50 times less toner than a printout with bold lettering and black areas.
I always use a separate printer for black and white employees. It is also 10 x faster.
A direct comparison is not possible.

Toner lasts a very long time. Especially in comparison to inkjet printers.
