Unfortunately, I can't help you. I do not own an X1 Carbon 6 Thinkpad. I bought the charger years ago for a Thinkpad L570.

Only the very early X1 Carbon models can use the chargers with the slim tip. From the 3rd generation onwards, chargers with the USB-C connector are required.
