Question for the users of this Gigaset phone: I have an older Gigaset 2 set (Gigaset C430). The device suddenly stopped working because it has battery problems and keeps switching on and off on the docking station. So far, changing the completely overpriced batteries has helped. Now even this no longer solves the problem. Does the new Gigaset Comfort 500A have the same problems? And does the new model really have a rechargeable battery inside (no batteries)? Which brand would you recommend as an alternative? Thank you.

Hi
We had exactly the same symptoms. Changing the batteries didn't help. All 3 devices showed the same behaviour 2 weeks apart.
The new 500A also has 2 AAA batteries.
If the set lasts another 6 years, then I personally don't mind "this fault". I have been extremely satisfied with the Gigasets for almost 25 years.
Greetings

This is generally a weakness of the rechargeable batteries supplied. For this reason, I used the batteries with a higher capacity (900mAh photo batteries). Maybe it will help there too.
