Since opinions differ between compatibility in the questions (not compatible) and the product review (someone has successfully changed the battery): Is the battery suitable for a Macbook Air 13" 2017? If not, what would be the alternative? Thank you very much!

This battery is certainly compatible. Installed it in a MacBook Ari 13" 2017 about 1 1/2 years ago. The challenge, however, was handling the different screwdrivers (e.g. MacBook Pro/Air Pentalobe special TS4 5-star) needed for the replacement. In the end, everything worked perfectly.

Appears to be the correct battery for a 2017 MacBook Air:

"Just" unscrew it once and you'll see. Whereas unscrewing is not so easy if you don't have the correct screwdriver, the screws are very tight and were glued with Loctite. Apart from that, the battery didn't last very well for me. After only 2 years, it's back at the same level as the old one after 7 years.

We successfully installed the battery in a 2015 Macbook Air 13" a few years ago and it still works very well. We do not know if it is compatible with a 2017.
