The 650W are too little. I have an unexpected restart every 2-3 days. Digitec and Mifcom are not able to send me a replacement device/power supply. I have been struggling with this for a year now, absolute disaster for > 3000 sfr. Digitec met me with "We would sell a power supply unit at a discount...".
Hello AebischL,
We are sorry to hear that there are problems here.
However, all our systems undergo appropriate testing, and a proper 650W power supply like the one we use here is sufficient in any case.
ExtraTNT's calculation does not quite correspond to reality - there are hardly any cases in which all components really run at absolute full load. In addition, the specifications for the power supplies (at least those of the higher-quality and serious models) are so-called continuous power specifications - at the peak, these power supplies also reliably deliver more power for a short time.
In addition, the system has also been sold more frequently, so if there had been a serious problem like this, we would of course have reacted accordingly.

the device does not fulfil what it was made for, this is a warranty case, 650W are very tightly dimensioned, if a chip runs rather at the limit, so that's just not enough, so you have the claim here... either replace the entire unit or repair it, which in the case of a planning error will probably go to the installation of a different psu...
the system should draw approx. 633W without usb-devices, with usb-c-devices over 730W, the whole thing with a psu calculator, for really high quality power supplies (be quiet), which is rather a bit lower than others (because the extreme peaks are not taken as max -> good power supplies can do more than 100% of their own watt specification in the short run)
if it doesn't work out, i would just get a straight power 11 with 850W and write to mifcom or digitec again -> mentioning that you couldn't have continued to use the device and they would have refunded you the wattage you were entitled to.they were not able to meet your warranty claims -> actually they should be obliged to reimburse you for the repairs, but i'm not sure how accurate it is here... -> Anyway, I would buy a good power supply, with the straight power you will have a few more years of pleasure.
