The LED now flashes alternately red and blue and I can no longer activate pairing. Is there a combination for a reset? Unfortunately, I can't find any online instructions for OE500 either.

I once had the same problem, but I could still pair/reconnect. After a bit of trial and error I found out that it happens when you press the + and - buttons at the same time()
