The PC has HDD and SDD, on which one is the operating system installed? Is it possible to switch off the HDD?

yes, the operating system (Win11) is installed on the SDD. This could of course switch off the HDD.

OS installed on the SSD, you can keep the HDD 7.2k rpm or switch it off, up to you, however it’s good to keep slow storage for a backup or file archive.
