The sensor compatibility of the lens is described for APSC. The focal length is given as 70-350mm. Yet the description says the converted focal length as if it were a full-frame lens used on an APSC sensor. This confuses me a lot. Is the focal length now 70-350 or 105-525mm? If I had to convert, it would have to be a lens that can also be used on full-frame sensors. And why does Digitec state 70-350mm when it would effectively be 105-525mm for APSC sensors? After all, it is sold as an APSC lens.

Hi Wockety,

the focal length is 70-350 and is equivalent to 35 mm focal length (mm) 105-525 . This is the value for the equivalent 35 mm camera focal length when mounted on an interchangeable lens digital camera equipped with an APS-C format image sensor. Depending on the lens mechanism, the
focal length may change slightly with shooting distance. The focal lengths given assume that the lens is set to infinity.

It is an APS-C lens and the focal length is 70-350mm. Where is the problem? The crop factor always applies. Regardless of whether it is calculated for full-frame or APS-C.
