The worst review states that the scanner only has a resolution of 300 DPI, contrary to the specification on the packaging. That can't be true - can it? I would like to use the printer to scan photos in good quality as I did with my old HP8620 and a scanner with 300 DPI would be useless. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Helpful answer

So of course that's not true at all.
I have just tested it quickly:
- In the Android app from Epson, you can select a maximum of 600 dpi.
- In the Epson Scan app on my Windows 11 laptop, I can scan at a maximum of 1200 dpi.

So you can scan at exactly the resolution listed in the specification.
I hope this helps you with your decision.
