There are various discussions on the internet, but I can't find a definitive answer: Can an active stylus / pen be used, including palm recognition?

I bought the spectre x360 13" (with i5 7th generation). The use with pen was also a reason to buy. But after 2 days of driver installation and HP support contact, HP confirmed that the HP Spectre X360 with 7th gen Intel definitely does not support a digitizer pen. Kept the laptop anyway because otherwise it's a fantastic laptop. I now occasionally use a passive pen (the kind used on mobile phones), which of course is no match for an active digitizer.
Conclusion: Super laptop but no digitizer pen support. For active pen you have to buy the old version of the laptop.
