Question about Microsoft Windows 11 Pro

We use Windows 11 in Parallels on Mac. Previously I had bought OEM versions on CD - but these can only be installed once. If I replace the Mac, I have to buy a new Windows key in Parallels - the old one will no longer work. Is this also the case with the download version or can it be deactivated and reactivated on a new device?

I used to be able to install a full version of Windows on several computers. OEM-only 1x. I don't know how it is now. Just try it out.

I haven't tweaked my download version yet. But it makes sense to me that an OEM version is tied to a specific device. With a full version, I would find a device lock-in highly astonishing. Presumably this is also the reason for the price difference.
