What functions do the buttons on the headphones have? Can you adjust the volume (don't want AirPods, as they only work via Siri...) Can you go backwards and forwards through a track? Can you pick up the phone and stop a track?

Operate volume, play/pause, answer call, select ANC level and one selectable function (according to limitations of the app).
