ANC stands for "Active Noise Cancellation" and refers to a technology for active noise cancellation. Microphones pick up ambient noise and a processor generates an opposing sound wave (anti-noise) that neutralises this noise, significantly reducing distracting background noise and allowing the actual audio to be heard more clearly.
