Helpful answer
Amazon.de offers the LTE version directly from Google. Converted to approx. CHF 385 incl. shipping.
I can't say whether this version works with Swisscom eSIM, but the first version worked, so it should also work with version 2.
Without guarantee :-)

In the USA, the LTE version costs an extra $50. In Switzerland, however, this option is not (yet) available.
I have written to the support team and asked.
But maybe someone else here knows. Maybe @Digitec?

I bought the Pixel Watch 2 LTE on tutti from Germany and it works perfectly with a Wingo esim. Same trick as with the Pixel Watch 1 (activate Vodafone esim prepaid for 0 euros, when it is active in the phone, you can scan the wingo esim QR code on the watch app, watch esim is activated, activate wingo esim on the mobile again and that's it). It's a dream, you can leave the phone at home when you go for a walk, do sports or go to the playground with the kids and still not miss an important call and you can send and receive wahtsapp voice messages. LTE ftw. add it to the range, Digitec. Then maybe I'll buy the Obsidian version ;) but WARNING: If your provider doesn't issue a QR code for a Watch esim, it won't work. I think that's how it is with Sunrise. But Wingo definitely works, I can personally confirm.

wait until google officially brings the watch to Switzerland. That's the only way to get support from the providers. I had the Pixel Watch 1 LTE and had a lot of trouble with it, also with the Pixel 7 Pro. Google is now selling it itself and, poof, the big providers are at the starting line and are trying hard to make sure that everything runs as it should. I give you the tip... enjoy the peace and quiet while walking and really switch off ;)
