Question about Microsoft Windows 11 Home

When I download Windows 11 from the Microsoft website and try to install it via USB, it cannot find the hard drive. It already had Windows 11 on it, but I deleted it in favour of Linux and would like to have Windows on it again for sale. The installation instructions via USB all assume a running Windows, from which you start the new Windows on the USB. A Windows 11 from another HP laptop does not start, error messages. It is an HP 15 Modeleg0977nz laptop. Does anyone know whether a newly purchased Windows causes fewer errors?

The Windows installation medium is probably missing a driver for the hard drive. This problem usually occurs with Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST). You can either download the driver from the manufacturer's website, load it onto a second USB stick and then install it during installation (should work in the same window as the drive selection) or you can try deactivating IRST in the UEFI (called "Intel VMD" on Asus laptops).

No, this does not make fewer errors. You are only buying a different licence, not a different installation medium.
