Where can you download templates for engraving or what kind of programme do you need?

Helpful answer

You can use any image as a template. But you usually have to adjust the image in a simple way (saturation/contrast, etc.). I use LaserGRBL. The programme is free of charge.

for templates you can search on Google, I use Inkscape as a programme for creating templates, and Lasergrbl as software, there are also others, the important thing is that they use files in G-code format, which is the one that gives the commands to the machine

You can find templates for engraving quite easily via a Google search. In my opinion, vector graphics are the most suitable, as the size can be changed without major effort. If necessary, simply search for SVG image files or google "laser engraving templates".

Info on the software supplied: With LaserGRBL, the engraver can only be used "online", i.e. a running computer must be connected to the laser at all times. With LightBurn (the paid software that is supplied as a demo) you can create G-code files (possibly also download) with which the laser is then able to do the engraving independently via the SD card. This is very useful for longer engraving jobs (often over 60 minutes) :)
