You won't get far with INK. What you get with the printer are rolls with a "colour film". From this plastic band, one of four colours is transferred from the carrier medium to the photo paper by means of thermal sublimation, in the right places. This means that you have to have enough space at the front and back - because the photo cardboard is automatically pulled backwards and forwards through the machine several times.

All the basic equipment is included with the printer, enough for exactly 108 photos. Regardless of the actual amount of ink used - it is the length of the plastic ribbon with the colours that determines the maximum number of photos.
