In and of itself, the Ulanzi FM01 seems to me to be an interesting fog machine, which is available at a reasonable price point for all amateur photographers and other ambitious shooters and film-makers.
However, the investment in the device is highly questionable if no suitable fluid is offered as an accessory. Fluids that are intended for use in fog machines in the event sector do not meet the requirements of the liquid for the FM01 in any way. A video from the manufacturer is circulating online that shows the instructions for making or mixing the fluid yourself. Somehow the whole thing is very dodgy.
I asked the official Swiss distributor of Ulanzi. They don't have the FM01 fog machine in their range. According to them, the reason for this is precisely because no fluid can be procured for the fog machine. On the one hand, this is consistent and customer-orientated, but on the other hand it negates the potential of the device. Diditec/Galaxus presumably procures the device from abroad, but apparently cannot find the necessary fluid there either. The manufacturer itself remains silent on this topic...

...in the meantime I can gladly pass on that the fluid from PMI Gear is compatible with the Ulanzi FM01 and works perfectly.

The liquid which is included contains the following compositions: vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol (VG:PG = 8:2).
