Which USB-C port should be used to connect? Mine laptop Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i 14 has 2 USB-C connections: 1) USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 full function (Power delivery 3.0 / DisplayPort™ 1.4) 2) USB-C Intel® Thunderbolt 4 I thought this dock should be connected to 2) Thunderbolt, but someone in here wrote connecting it to 1) PD/DP, and another one wrote (seems the review was deleted) that this dock is not fully Thunderbolt as it has only down stream, which one is correct then? Thanks.

Helpful answer

The fixed connection cable of the docking station is a Thunderbolt cable and this is how I made the connection to my HP elitebook.

Update: I bought it thinking that it will work. Connected to TB4 port, NOTHING comes, no USB devices connected, no HDMI/DP signal to monitor, no Ethernet, as if the dock is not o TB4, while the laptop is new with 3months out having TB4 port!

I would always take the best or fastest port. The docking only has Thunderbolt 3, but the 4 should be compatible downwards. But 10GB/Sc from T3 is fast enough anyway.
