Why can't I copy a 9GB film to this stick? I still have 114GB free, but I still get the message: "The file xy is too big for the target file system".

Hi. This is probably due to the file system used on the USB stick. If it is FAT32, the maximum file size is only 4GB. As an alternative, I recommend formatting the stick with a tool (Windows: right-click on the medium in Explorer; MacOS: Disk Utility). Then select exFAT, for example. It is also recognised by all common OS.
