In my opinion, and that of various experts, 2K makes the most sense for a 27-inch monitor. It is the best compromise.
With 4K resolution, the monitor should be slightly larger than 27 inches.
4K also definitely requires a more powerful graphics card, which again speaks in favour of a 2K resolution for an all-round monitor of this size.
