Why is the 2020 model 498P9 cheaper than the 2018 model 499PH?

Why should you connect it via HDMI? If you don't have a DP port, just buy your dock and you're good to go.

The connections are from the 00s: It has one (1) Display Port and two HDMI 2.0. Problem: The resolution can only be reliably delivered via the DisplayPort. The monitor cannot be used via HDMI - the picture is totally distorted. I can't get it to work... Not even with a Thunderbolt3 docking. Two computers side by side works. But you press >20 buttons in the menu - so not usable.
In short: A very good display and great for a computer when operated via display port. For this use, I fully recommend it.
If you want to connect more than one computer: Hands off! Useless!
I am selling my 1 month old for CHF 630: Can pick up today in Herzogenbuchsee. 0797775539. I have 2 PCs and 1 Mac, I am a project manager and insist that my products are hands-on tested. Therefore, this was a bad buy.
