Why is the cable called [Apple Remote] when it is for Android devices ? I bought the headphones for the iPad and am now looking for the same functionality as before after the system change to android.

I think there is a mistake in the title of the article. The Apple version is here Bose Headphone Cable for QuietComfort 25 (Blue)

I use the same cable with my Android Phone and PS4, both work without problems.
