Would it be possible to mount a 5.5Kg 34" monitor (21:9)? I assume so, but I would like to know if anyone here has already done this.

Should actually be possible. The arm holds 6.5kg according to the specifications and if your monitor has vesa 75x75 or 100x100 it should fit. I have a 24" but upright and it works perfectly... the inch specifications are only approximate. A 21:9 34" is a wider 27" monitor...
