Would the keyboard (! so not necessarily the additional case) also work with the new iPad mini (6)? (It is compatible with the iPad Air 4, but it would be great if I could use the keyboard IN ADDITION to the iPad mini...). Thanks a lot for your help!

unfortunately no. The keyboard is connected to the contacts on the back of the iPad ... not wirelessly via bluetooth
