This is exactly what was not possible for me. My Deuter backpack would have needed these little "carabiners" to attach the two straps. This sun canopy here, however, has click buckles - at least, the one I received. So you need to check your rucksack to see what kind of device it has at the top to attach the straps. When I ordered, there were still wrong close-ups (with carabiners) in the product pictures (nevertheless, Galaxus did not take the product back; this because I had used the roof only months after ordering, had not noticed the mistake until then and had thrown away the packaging....).
