How do you do it without using your hands? I can't do it like in the video. The nappy doesn't go down far enough?

I have the same problem with the new nappy pail. The old one (approx. 2.5 years) was great, the new one is also very tedious. However, it gets a little better after 2-3 months :(

It's the same with us, you have to push it down or it stays open at the top. Is this a faulty design?
