Hello, we have the net and yes it can be bent. As we have a side rail on the wall, unfortunately we couldn't mount it all the way down. I think she would get through anyway as it is very elastic, but I can't say for sure.

We have measured it now and the net can bend about 10-12 cm. Maybe someone else who has installed the net on a staircase can help with an answer. My husband says he would not install it closer to a staircase.
