The Berlin master butcher Külz actually just wanted to escape his daily routine for a while. Without informing his family, he set off to Copenhagen for a few days. He planned to stroll around the city, visit landmarks, indulge in good food, and take a break from the usual grind between butcher hooks and blood sausage. However, while enjoying a platter of cold cuts on the terrace of the prestigious Hotel D'Angleterre, he meets Miss Trübner. She tells him that she is the private secretary of a wealthy art collector who has just acquired a valuable miniature. She has now been tasked with the difficult job of safely transporting this masterpiece to Berlin. However, she has long feared that she is being followed. Miss Trübner asks Master Butcher Külz for help. He should assist her with the miniature.
