The Scruffy one has a shaggy coat and lives in a dark land. It is sad because it has lost its home. The Delicate one, on the other hand, lives in a world full of light and colors, but it is curious about the dark side next door. Slowly, a friendship develops between the two contrasting characters, and they cautiously take the step into each other's unfamiliar world. Kerstin Hau tells a sensitive story about the bright and dark sides of life and about a friendship that can overcome boundaries. Julie Völk has used an old technique from the beginnings of photography, the cyanotype, for this book. This process creates negative effects and deep blue tones on the paper.
