Hans Fischer was born on January 6, 1909, in Bern. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts et Arts industriels in Geneva and then attended the School of Applied Arts in Zurich. After that, he worked for a year as a draftsman in an advertising studio in Paris. Back in Switzerland, he worked as a graphic designer and regularly contributed to the satirical magazine Nebelspalter and other publications. Later, he also illustrated the bedtime stories he created for his children. His works were exhibited internationally. Hans Fischer passed away in 1958.
