London 1889. After the performance of "Macbeth," a message written in blood is discovered: In Edinburgh, the next stop for the famous theater troupe, someone is supposed to be cruelly killed. The case brings Inspectors Ian Frey and Adolphus McGray into action. While the rational Englishman Frey believes the grim announcement is merely a publicity stunt, McGray is convinced of a supernatural phenomenon, as visitors claim to have seen a "death fairy" outside the theater.
