When the good-natured high school student Taiju finally gathers all his courage to confess his love to Yuzuriha – the girl of his dreams – the sky is filled with a blinding light that turns all living beings it touches to stone. After thousands of years in stone, he miraculously breaks free and begins to explore the area for other survivors and the reason why everything is as it is now. During his search, he encounters his good friend and science genius Senku, who had escaped his stone prison over half a year earlier. Together, the two try to save the world's population and investigate how this event came to be. Naturally, their adventure leads them to meet not only friends.
