The quality of an eraser and the use of the right eraser are crucial for optimal results. Generally, two different materials are used to manufacture erasers: rubber and plastic. All erasers and most plastic erasers from Faber-Castell are PVC-free. The PVC-free erasers from Faber-Castell do not contain harmful phthalate plasticizers. Phthalates are known to have various undesirable effects when in contact with the human body. The balanced plastic blend ensures a soft and smudge-resistant erasing experience.
