The Englishwoman Cesca lives in Rome and runs a successful blog that is a tribute to the eternal city and the Dolce Vita. When she meets her neighbor, the famous Viscountess Elena, they immediately take a liking to each other. After some time, Cesca even agrees to write Elena's memoirs. However, the more time they spend together, the more Cesca feels that Elena is hiding something from her. When a valuable diamond ring, supposedly belonging to Elena, is found at a construction site, Cesca, along with the attractive archaeologist Nico, begins to investigate and uncovers a tragic secret.
