Cliff has his life under control: he runs a successful bakery, is a top-notch single dad, and is the favorite of the small, sleepy town of Copper Run in Vermont. Michelle, on the other hand, is facing the chaotic mess that is her life. With no notable small talk or baking skills, she is driving her family's bed and breakfast into the ground as a city dweller. To avoid scaring off even more guests, Cliff, her annoyingly perfect neighbor, helps her with delicious scones, tips and tricks for small-town living, and plenty of charm. So, becoming friends with him can hardly hurt Michelle. At least as long as she can resist that charm during their shared trick and treat and at the romantic harvest festival, and not lose her heart in the fall.
