This pine wood box, shaped like a pencil case, contains a lacquered wooden dip pen, five nibs (46B, 50B, 65B, 76B, 361B), and a bottle of Eclat de Saphir ink (30 ml), one of the oldest inks created by Jacques Herbin. A guide describes the history of Jacques Herbin ink. The school nib is a fine, fairly stiff nib suitable for drawing, writing, and calligraphy. The stenography nib is a sharp, notched nib made of blued steel, ideal for English cursive due to its flexibility. The Pfannen and Rose nibs are made of hard steel and are suitable for print writing, as is the Cito-Fine, a cross-shaped nib. An ideal set for nostalgics who enjoy writing with a dip pen.
