Trenk wants to become a knight. At Hohenlob Castle, the peasant boy gets closer to his goal. If only it weren't for Knight Wertolt, who is planning one wicked scheme after another. Fortunately, Lady Thekla and the loyal little piglet are always by Trenk's side. In the forest, Trenk and Thekla find an old oak barrel. Before Trenk knows it, Thekla is floating downriver in it and ends up right in the clutches of the nasty Knight Wertolt. At the monastery, Trenk uncovers a plot involving a secret magic potion. When the grand tournament of the prince is approaching, Thekla participates under a false name and really puts Trenk to the test. And when the prince invites all the knights of the land to an important conference, Trenk takes charge of the castle. But being a lord of the castle is not as easy as it seems. The original audio plays, featuring the voices, atmosphere, and music from the ZDF series, bring the Middle Ages to life in varied scenes. Karl Menrad narrates the story.
