Doctor Döblinger's tasteful puppet theater is not just any ordinary tent puppet show, but rather delightful, literary entertainment for children. The owners, authors, narrators, and puppeteers are Richard Oehmann and Josef Parzefall, who have written and performed nine children's plays for their stage across Germany. Plot: Just as Kasperl is getting comfortable at the Gasthaus Ruhetag, the city's hiking day breaks out in Hinterwieselharing, and Seppl marches eagerly ahead. Unfortunately, Kasperl learns that Chantalle, the crocodile of the wizard Gottlieb Wurst, has escaped. Moreover, the witch Annegehr is lying in wait for Seppl with a treacherous trap and nerve-wracking song. Kasperl decides to take to the hiking trail himself to save his friend from the dangers.
