The learned gander Günter can even predict it without a weather report. The swallow Schwatzeline flies very low over the grass, which means rain is coming. Monika wants to ask the swallow why she flies so low, but Schwatzeline doesn't let anyone speak and thinks she knows everything better than Günter. This annoys the well-traveled gander so much that he engages in a beak-silencing competition.

Episode 05: Why do ladybugs have spots? The earthworm Schorsch wants to dig a shortcut to his friend, the little snail Monika Häuschen, but unfortunately, he ends up in the chicken coop. To avoid being pecked by the hens again, Schorsch wants to camouflage himself as well as the shy frog Knödel, who is overlooked by everyone in the green grass. The learned gander Günter knows even more tricks that animals use to protect themselves, and Monika helps Schorsch disguise himself as a leaf. It's almost a perfect disguise, if only the constantly hungry Günter didn't prefer to eat leaves.

Episode 06: Why do dung beetles like dung? In the garden where the little snail Monika Häuschen lives with her friend, the earthworm Schorsch, it doesn't smell like flowers as usual, but like dung. The gardener has brought a wheelbarrow full of horse manure and also brought along the dung beetle Müffel, who loves to feast on fresh dung. The well-traveled gander Günter knows other animals with strange favorite foods. Suddenly, Müffel realizes in shock that his little dung beetle larva Manfred has been left all alone on the horse farm. Now Monika and her friends are supposed to help Müffel find little Manfred again.
