Doctor Döblinger's tasteful Kasperl theater is not just any tent puppet show, but delightful, literary entertainment for children. The puppet stage has received numerous excellent reviews and has been featured at various theaters and festivals, including the Munich Volkstheater. The owners, authors, narrators, and puppeteers are Richard Oehmann and Josef Parzefall, who have already written nine children's plays for their stage and performed them throughout Germany. 'Kasperl on Holiday' is a continuation of Doctor Döblinger's Kasperl audio play series. The texts are written in the Bavarian dialect and with a strong inclination towards the absurd. However, the focus is always on providing exciting entertainment for children, while adults are likely to enjoy a good laugh as well. The characters are classic Kasperl figures, such as a policeman, magician, dog, Seppl, crocodile, king, etc. The title song 'Alle Mitanand' was recorded by Christoph 'Stopherl' Well from Biermösl Blosn, who also voices a guest role. The tango 'Oh, Heike Häschen' was composed and performed by Peter Pichler. The elaborate booklet contains portraits and information about each of the individual puppet characters. Additionally, children can study a detailed map of Doctor Döblinger's very quirky Kasperl region while listening.

Plot: Kasperl and Seppl are urged by their grandmother to take Prince Jochen camping in the woods. The spoiled prince finds vacationing in nature far too boring. His whining ruins all the fun for Kasperl and Seppl. Then they learn that the evil wizard Wurst has just kidnapped the beautiful princess Heike. They decide to rescue her in order to marry her off to the prince and thus get rid of him.
