The 849 feels good in the hand. The six straight surfaces allow the 849 to be fixed and stabilised well. In contrast to curves, the straight surfaces offer more support, which I personally find more comfortable. I'm still very satisfied with it.

Yes, it did for me. The only thing that annoyed me was that I got a blue refill for a red pen and had to order a red refill as well.
