Kay has a lot of anger inside him. Ever since his father lost his job, he has been taking out his sorrow on his family. This also leads Kay to do things he doesn't really want to do. Together with Sven from his parallel class, he bullies and terrorizes first graders. His teachers have long accepted that he does not participate in school. However, when he beats up little Pauline, he risks being expelled. He is given one last chance and is supposed to look after the new classmate Greta, who is a very special girl. She has Down syndrome. With her honest, direct, and emotional nature, Greta presents Kay with a real challenge.
