Small Changes is the name of Michael Kiwanuka's long-awaited album, which follows his Mercury Prize-winning and Grammy-nominated third LP, KIWANUKA. Building on more serious themes such as immigration and community explored in KIWANUKA, Kiwanuka's story continues with small, magical changes. He is supported by his co-producers DangerMouse and Inflo, known from KIWANUKA and Love & Hate. New to this year's album team is the legendary bassist Pino Palladino, who has previously collaborated with John Mayer, Beyoncé, and D'Angelo, as well as Jimmy Jam from the renowned Jam and Lewis duo, known for their work with Janet Jackson, Prince, and the SOS Band. With this album, Michael Kiwanuka once again proves himself to be one of the most talented British songwriters and a phenomenal guitarist. The singles Floating Parade, Low Down (Part 1), and Low Down (Part 2), which provide a taste of Small Changes nearly a month in advance, feature captivating, serene instrumental sections.
